Restore guest files from an Incus virtual machine

Restore individual files or folders from a backup of an Incus virtual machine.

Restore guest files

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtual machines.

2. Select the Incus hypervisor.

3. In the Virtual machines section, select the virtual machine that contains the files that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

4. On the Select restore type page, click Guest files.

5. Browse the backup, and select the files or folders that you want to restore.

6. Click Restore.

7. Configure the restore destination.

8. Review the restore settings, and then click Submit.

You can restore full instances or individual guest files from a backup.

Restore options

• Guest files: Restore individual files or folders.

• Full virtual machine: Restore the entire instance.

File restore

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

2. Click the Incus hypervisor.

3. In the Virtual machines section, click the action button for the instance that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

4. On the Select restore type page, click Guest files.

5. Select the files and folders to restore, and then click Restore.

6. Select the destination options, and then click Submit.
