Running Threat Analysis Scan for Hyper-V VMs

After you import and deploy the HyperV_ControllerScan and HyperV_VMScan workflows in your CommCell environment, you can run the Threat Analysis scan on the VMs. After the scan completes, the VM Scan Analysis report is generated.

Important

  • Only CommCell administrators or users with administrative permissions can access, create, and edit workflows on the Developer tools > Workflows page. For more information about creating and editing workflows, see Creating and Managing Workflows.

  • Run only one instance of the controller scan at a time to avoid inaccurate scan results.

Running Threat Analysis Scan for Multiple VMs

The HyperV_ControllerScan workflow runs the Threat Analysis scan for all backed up VMs in the storage library. The Commvault software runs parallel VM restores and scans depending on the number of restore worker VMs configured and parameters set in the VaultConfig workflow. To modify or review the parameters required to run the VM scan, see Configure VaultConfig Workflow for Hyper-V VM Scan.
