Step 1: Initiate a Maintenance Failover
Set the CommServe server on restore-only mode by performing a maintenance failover to the standby CommServe host. For more information on performing a maintenance failover, see Initiating Maintenance Failovers.
Step 2: Install the Service Pack On the Production CommServe Host
Install the service pack on the Production CommServe host. For more information on installing service packs on the production CommServe hosts, see Installing a Service Pack on the Production CommServe During a Maintenance Failover.
Step 3: Reset Maintenance Failovers
Switch CommCell operations back to the production CommServe host by resetting the maintenance failover. For more information on resetting the maintenance failover, see Resetting Maintenance Failovers.
Step 4: Install the Service Pack On the Standby CommServe Host and SQL Clients
Install the service pack on the Standby CommServe Hosts and SQL Clients. For more information on installing the service pack, see Installing Service Packs On the Standby CommServe Host and SQL Clients.
