Add the access node for Amazon RDS for SQL Server.
Before You Begin

The access node must be a SQL client with internet access.

Port 1433 must be open on the access node so that it can connect to the Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance.

You need the following information:

Host name
-
User name and password
-
OS type
-
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Servers.
The Servers page appears.

In the upper-right area of the page, click Add server, and then click Add file server.
The Add server dialog box appears.

Click Select this method to install software packages on your computer.

Enter the necessary information.

From the Select packages list, select SQL Server, and then click OK.

Click Install.
