When you create a virtualization client, a Google Cloud Platform instance for the client is created automatically. You can modify the Google Cloud Platform instance to add or modify the list of VSA proxies that can be used for data protection operations on the virtualization client.
One virtualization client can back up instances from multiple projects.

To back up instances from multiple projects, your GCP service account must have access rights to all of the projects. For more information, see Creating a Google Cloud Platform Service Account.
