Configuring a Hypervisor for Automatic Scaling

You can configure automatic scaling to create AWS access nodes, and then decommission them soon after backup jobs complete.

Before You Begin

Add a hypervisor for the AWS IAM Admin account.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

   The Virtual machines page appears.

2. On the Hypervisors tab, click the hypervisor.

   The hypervisor page appears.

3. On the Configuration tab, under Access node, move the Auto scale toggle key to the right.

   The Auto scale settings dialog box appears.

4. Configure the options for automatic scaling.

   For information about each option, see Options in the Auto Scale-Out Settings Dialog Box.

5. Click Save.
