If you have not yet added an Azure hypervisor, you must create a new Azure hypervisor to control operations for scaling out Azure access nodes.
Before You Begin
Verify that the Command Center contains a server that represents an Azure cloud access node. You will select the Azure cloud access node as part of creating the hypervisor.
For more information, see Getting Started.
Procedure
-
From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.
The Virtual machines page appears.
-
On the Hypervisors tab, click Add hypervisor.
-
From the Select vendor list, select Microsoft Azure.
-
In the Hypervisor name box, enter a descriptive name for the hypervisor.
-
Enter the host or the account information for traditional authentication:
-
Subscription ID: Enter the subscription ID for the Azure account.
-
Tenant ID: Enter the tenant ID associated with the Azure account.
-
Application ID: Enter the application ID associated with the tenant.
-
Application password: Enter the password for the application.
You cannot configure automatic scaling for hypervisors that use the managed identity authentication method.
-
-
From the Access nodes list, select the Azure cloud access node.
The Azure cloud access node must be installed with Commvault version 11.21 or later
-
Click Save.
