Subclients for the SQL Server Agent

Updated

A subclient is a logical entity containing the databases that need to be backed up. A default subclient is created with each instance during the installation of the SQL Server Agent. It contains all the databases in the instance when the first backup is performed. A default subclient is designed to protect all data in the instance.

For general information about subclients, the different types, and how they fit within the logical structure of a CommCell, see Subclients Overview.
