Getting Started for New Installations of SAP Archive Link

To implement the SAP Archive Link solution for the SAP Archive software using the Commvault ObjectStore, complete the following tasks:

Step 1: Configure an ObjectStore

For more information, see Configuring an ObjectStore.

Note the user name and password for the ObjectStore account, and the host name of the Web Server. The user must have administrative privileges and the same user is used to install the SAP Archive Link agent.

The SAP Archive Link agent uses an Edge Drive based index server. For more information on the index server system requirements, see System Requirements for Edge Drive Index Server.

After the setup is complete, the SAP Archive link client forwards the SAP archive data to the <ObjectStore> using REST APIs. The <ObjectStore> user can view the <ObjectStore> as an Edge Drive on the Web Console, and can perform browse, restore, and other end user operations on the data.
