You must install the following components in order to setup VM File Recover Plug-in:

Virtual Server Agent installed on at least one physical computer or virtual machine that can connect to the CommServe. For installation instructions, see Getting Started (VMware).

Web Server and Web Console installed on the CommServe or on any computer that can connect to the CommServe. For installation instructions see Installing the Web Console.

Windows File System Agent (full or "restore only" mode) installed on at least one CommCell client (physical or virtual machine) in the vCenter. For installation instructions see Deployment - Windows File System and Installing Restore Only Agents.
You can use an administrative user account on the vCenter for backup and restore operations. When you create a user account, it must have certain system privileges. For more information refer to Permissions for Custom User Accounts. In addition, administrators need ownership and permissions for CommCell and virtual machine resources as described in Ownership and Permissions Needed for Virtual Machine Recovery.
