For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the Dell PowerFlex storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.
Before You Begin
To add the array in the CommServe database, you need the following information:

From the array software, the array ID the array ID and the user name for MetaData Manager (MDM) on Dell PowerFlex software

From the Commvault software, the IP of the gateway computer.
Start the Configuration Wizard

From the navigation pane, click Manage > Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure page appears.

Click Arrays.

On the Arrays page, click Add.
The General page of the Add Snap Array configuration wizard appears.

From the Snap vendor list, select Dell PowerFlex.

In the Array name box, enter a array ID.

In the Control host box, enter the IP of the gateway computer.

In the Description box, enter the description for the array.

For credentials, do one of the following:

To use the saved credentials, move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right, and then select credentials from the Saved credentials list.

To add new credentials, enter the credentials in User name and Password boxes.

Click Next.
The Array Access Nodes page of the configuration wizard appears.

To configure additional MediaAgents to perform operations on the storage array, from the Available MediaAgents list, select one or more access nodes and then click OK.
- To select all the available MediaAgents as access nodes, click SELECT ALL.

To disable pruning, move the Pruning toggle button of the respective access node to the left.

To rearrange the selected access nodes, drag them upwards or downwards as required.

Click NEXT.
The Snap Configurations page of the configuration wizard appears.

Configure Snapshot Configuration Properties according to your needs.

Click SUBMIT.
