You can configure backups for channel (team) chats by using the default Free Protected APIs. Microsoft requires an additional charge for every backup of channel chats if you select the use of paid Microsoft export APIs.
Before You Begin
Verify that on the Configuration tab under Teams connections settings, in the Export API access column, at least one Azure app displays Yes. For instructions about enabling Export APIs for an Azure app, see Enabling Paid Export APIs for an Existing Azure App.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.
The Office 365 Overview page appears.

On the Apps tab, click the app.
The Overview page of the app appears.

On the Configuration tab, in the Chat backup settings section, beside Channel chat, click Edit
.By default, either Free Protected APIs or Service Account (only for users who upgraded from a previous version) are selected.

From the list, select Paid Export APIs, and then click Submit.
The Enabled Paid Export APIs dialog box appears.

At the bottom of the dialog box, select the confirmation check boxes, and then click Enable.
