You can perform the different name management operations to update the server hostname or domain name as required:

| Update CommServe hostname on CommServe and Remote servers | When you change the name of the computer where the CommServe resides, you need to notify the CommServe computer and servers about the new hostname. Rename the CommServe computer from the Command Center if you want to update the computer name without reinstalling the CommServe software. |
| Update CommServe hostname on a server | You can change the hostname of the CommServe computer on a server. The server will use the new CommServe hostname to communicate with the CommServe. |
| Update CommServe for Servers (use this option after DR restore) | When you move or restore the CommServe database to a new computer that uses a name that is different from the original CommServe computer, you must inform the clients about the new CommServe name. |
| Update Domain Name | If you move one or more servers to a different domain or rename the current domain, you must specify the new domain name in the CommCell environment. |
