Getting Started with Kudu

To get started with Kudu, verify that your environment meets the system requirements, and then complete the necessary setup in Commvault.

Procedure

1. Verify the following things about your environment:

   • Is Kudu 1.13.0 or a more recent version.

   • Has a Hadoop cluster set up in Commvault.

   • The master node configured for Hadoop clients must be a Kudu node. The Kudu node can be a Kudu master or a Kudu tablet server.

2. Add the Kudu app.

3. Add a Kudu subclient.

4. Perform a test backup and restore.
