Enabling Content Indexing on a Search Engine Configured in Search Only Mode

You can enable content indexing on a Search Engine that is in search only mode. After enabling content indexing, the Search Engine can content index new data.

To enable content indexing on a Search Engine in search only mode, hardware resources must be available and the number of content indexed documents must be below the maximum allowed. For information, see Search Engine System Requirements.

Procedure

  1. To log on to the CommServe computer, run the qlogin command.

  2. On the command line, go to software_installation_path\Base, and then type the following command:

     
    qoperation execscript -sn QS_EnableSearchEngineNode -si 'client_name'

    where client_name is the client name of the Search Engine.

  3. On the Search Engine, restart the CVD service.

  4. To log off the CommServe computer, run the qlogout command.
