Mounting the Hedvig Virtual Disk on the MediaAgent/Proxies

You must mount the virtual disk in the proxy(s) in which you plan to configure the disk library, so that it is accessible to the MediaAgent.

Before You Begin

Add access to the proxy(s) in the virtual disks.

Procedure

1. On the MediaAgent/Hedvig Proxy, navigate to the following folder

   # cd /usr/local/hedvig/scripts

2. Run the following script.

   # ./commvault_mount.sh <vdiskname>

   Replace <vdiskname> with the name of the vdisk.

   This will mount the virtual disk on the MediaAgent and will persist the mount path after a reboot.

Configure a disk library using the virtual disk so that it can be used as a storage target in the CommCell.
