  • Offline Content Indexing is supported for NetApp, Dell EMC Unity/Dell EMC VNX / Celerra, and BlueArc (Hitachi NAS) backups with the following restrictions:

    For NetApp, content indexing is not supported from backups inside an Image Backup Set (SMTAPE backups).

    For Dell EMC VNX / Celerra:

    • content indexing is not supported from VBB backups

    • content indexing may give incomplete results for backups of a Celerra deduplicated file system

  • Access Control Lists (ACL) are content indexed by default for Dell EMC Unity/Dell EMC VNX / Celerra and NetApp file servers.

Support for job restart or resume from point-of-failure is vendor based. Currently, only NetApp 7-Mode, NetApp C-mode (ONTAP 9.0 and later), and Isilon (versions 7.1 and later) support this feature.
