The Endpoint Users license counts owners of specific client computers, some client computers, and users of several features.
Users and Client Computers
The Commvault software counts the following users and client computers under the Endpoint Users license:

Each unique owner of a client computer that is configured as a laptop in the Commvault software

Each laptop without an owner
Features
The Commvault software also counts the number of Web Console users that protect their data using the following features under the Endpoint Users license:

Laptop backups

Explorer Plug-In

Data Loss Prevention

Sync Folders

User privacy settings

This license does not measure the amount of backup data.

For Windows, Macintosh, and Linux, license usage is calculated for each unique laptop owner.

Each laptop without an owner is counted under the Endpoint Users license.

Each client computer configured as a laptop is excluded from the Capacity license calculation.
