If you are deploying Commvault Grid into an existing CommServe environment, verify that the CommServe software version is compatible with the Commvault Grid software version installed on the Commvault Grid nodes.
The CommServe software version must be lower than the Commvault Grid software version running on the Commvault Grid nodes.
Perform this validation before deployment to avoid compatibility issues during node registration and cluster creation.
Verify the Installed CommServe Version

View the CommServe version on the CommServe computer.

Compare the installed version with the latest maintenance release listed in the Supported Releases section.

Verify that the CommServe software version is euqal to or higher than the Commvault Grid software version installed on the Commvault Grid nodes.
If the Version Is Not Compatible
If the installed CommServe version is lower than the required supported release or is not compatible with the Commvault Grid software version, upgrade the CommServe software before proceeding with deployment.
