Before you delete the MediaAgent, review the impact of the deletion on various CommCell entities that are associated with the MediaAgent.

Array Access Nodes

Storage Policy or Storage Pool

The MediaAgent that you delete is the only data path the storage policy or the storage pool.

The MediaAgent deletion operation deletes all the data paths associated with the MediaAgent. To continue the backup operations, at least one data path must be available.

Before or after you delete the MediaAgent, mandatory

To run any new backup operation, add a new data path to the storage policy or to the storage pool before or after you delete the MediaAgent.

The MediaAgent deletion operation deletes all the data paths associated with the MediaAgent.

The software automatically performs the Config Only DDB move partition operation to move the partitions to another MediaAgent that hosts other DDB partitions.

After you delete the MediaAgent, you must perform the Move Partitions operation with Change Config only option selected. Then, you are expected to perform the DDB reconstruction.
