Configure an Atlassian Jira App

Create an Atlassian Jira app that will contain the spaces and work items you want to manage and back up.

Before You Begin

If you are an MSP and you want your tenant administrators to create the DevOps app, see Infra Admin.

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Service catalog.

Choose Atlassian Jira

  1. On the DevOps tile, click Configure.

  2. Select Atlassian Jira.

    The Configure Atlassian Jira App wizard appears.

Enter a Descriptive Name for the Application

  1. On the Connection Settings page, in the App name box, enter a descriptive name for the Atlassian Jira application.

Choose Authentication Mechanism

  1. Select one of the following options:

    • Express configuration (Recommended):
      Automates most configuration steps and uses the hosted infrastructure provided by Commvault Cloud for backup and restores.

    • Custom configuration:
      Allows you to manually specify authentication details. You can choose to use either the hosted infrastructure provided by Commvault Cloud or your own configured access nodes for backups.

    Note

    A single user can use or authorize the same OAuth app. Duplicate authorization is not allowed within or across apps.

Access Node Selection

  1. Select one of the following options:

    • Use hosted infrastructure: Select this option to use the hosted infrastructure provided by Commvault Cloud for backups.

      a. Select the region where the Atlassian Jira data is hosted, and then click NEXT.

    • Use your access nodes for backups: Select this option if you want to use your own configured access nodes for performing backups.

    Note

    If the MSP has configured a workload resource pool in a single region and no access node is configured by the tenant, this step will not appear. Access nodes configured in the workload resource pool are selected automatically.

Plan Creation

  1. Select an existing backup plan or create a new backup plan to associate with the Atlassian Jira app.

Choose Backup Content

  1. Select the backup content you want to protect, such as settings, spaces and work items.

Submit

  1. Review your selections, and then click Submit to complete the configuration.
