Transition from CommNet to Metrics Reporting Server

CommNet^TM Server is now deprecated. In order to continue using multi-CommCell reports, you must transition to Metrics Reporting. With Metrics Reporting, you can view reports on your organization's Private Metrics Reporting Server and on the Cloud Services Portal. Private Metrics Reporting Server collects and processes data, and then displays reports on your Web Console. Our Cloud Metrics Reporting Server collects and processes data from your organization's CommCell computers, and then hosts the reports on our Cloud Services site.

This is a high-level process for transitioning your CommNet installation to Metrics Reporting Server.

1. Before upgrading, uninstall the existing CommNet Server:

   1. In each child CommCell computer, in the CommCell Console, click the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

      The Control Panel dialog box appears.

   2. Under Reports, click CommNet Properties.

      The CommNet Properties dialog box appears.

   3. Click Unregister from CommNet.

      A message appears that asks if you want to unregister this CommServe computer from the CommNet Server.

   4. Click Yes.

2. Install and configure Metrics Reporting.
