CommCell Management |
The Commvault built-in Key Management Server (KMS) now generates a unique key for each CommCell, replacing the previously hardcoded built-in key. Keys are stored securely outside the CommServe database with machine-level protection, offering security comparable to an external KMS. It is safeguarded through the CommServe Disaster Recovery backup and automatically restored during a CommServe recovery. It is never shared externally and is fully managed without requiring any manual steps. |
