Setting the Java Path for Oracle Archiving

This task applies to the production and archive databases.

Before the software removes data from the archive database, user identified column values from the archived data rows are sent to a content index store (Solr/Lucene). This process requires that JRE (Java virtual machine) be installed on the archive database host. The Java version must be 1.8 or above. If the Java path is not defined in the default PATH environment variable, set this additional setting value to the path where you installed Java.

Procedure

  • On the archive database client computer, add the sCV_JAVA_HOME additional setting for the Oracle Archiving feature as shown in the following table.
