Subscribing through AWS Marketplace links your Clumio subscription to your AWS account, so it is managed alongside your other AWS subscriptions. You can start with a free trial and subscribe later.
Your AWS Marketplace subscription covers AWS usage only. To protect Google Cloud Storage with Clumio, also subscribe through Google Cloud Marketplace. Both subscriptions can be active on the same Clumio organization, and each cloud's usage is billed to its own marketplace. The Marketplace Connections page in the Clumio portal shows each subscription and its status. For more information, see Sign up through Google Cloud Marketplace.
Subscribe and create your account

Go to Clumio by Commvault: Data Protection and Resilience for AWS in AWS Marketplace.

To subscribe, click View purchase options. To start a free trial instead, click Try for free.
If you are in Japan, click Try for free. Paid subscriptions for customers in Japan go through a separate listing. For more information, see AWS Marketplace Japan.

In the message confirming that your subscription is in progress, click Set up your account.

Always set up your account using the Set up your account button in AWS Marketplace. That button links your Clumio account to your AWS Marketplace subscription.

If you already have a Clumio account, click Set up your account, and then sign in to your existing account instead of registering a new one. Sign in as a Super Admin. Clumio then asks whether to move your AWS usage onto the new subscription.

Complete the registration form. The fields and the region choice are the same on either sign-up path — see Create your account.
Subscribe from inside the portal
If you signed up directly with Clumio or started a free trial through AWS Marketplace, a Free Trial button appears in the upper-right area of the Clumio portal. Click it to open the Subscription required dialog, and then choose the option that matches the resources you want Clumio to protect:

Buy with AWS, if you have AWS resources to protect. It opens Clumio in AWS Marketplace, and your AWS usage is billed through your AWS account.

Buy with Google Cloud, if you have Google Cloud resources to protect. It opens Clumio in Google Cloud Marketplace, and your Google Cloud usage is billed through your Google Cloud billing account.

Contact support, to arrange a subscription directly with Clumio.
If you protect both AWS and Google Cloud resources, subscribe through both marketplaces. Each cloud's usage is billed to its own marketplace.
If your Clumio free trial has expired, the same dialog opens when you sign in, so you can still subscribe without contacting support.
Cancel a subscription
Canceling your AWS Marketplace subscription affects only your AWS protection. If you also have an active Google Cloud Marketplace subscription, your Google Cloud protection continues unchanged.
When you cancel, Clumio turns off the parts of your backup policies that protect AWS resources, so scheduled AWS backups stop. On-demand backups and restores for AWS are also blocked, and you cannot connect new AWS accounts. Billing for AWS usage stops.
Your AWS accounts stay connected, and their existing backups are kept for a 14-day grace period. The grace period keeps your backups, but you cannot restore from them until you re-subscribe. During the grace period, Clumio sends a daily alert counting down to the disconnect.

If you re-subscribe within the grace period, your AWS accounts stay connected and your backups are kept. On-demand backups and restores work again. Scheduled backups do not resume on their own. Turn AWS protection back on in your backup policies to resume them.

If you do not re-subscribe, your AWS accounts may be disconnected from Clumio after the grace period ends. Disconnecting them also starts the deletion of their backups. If you subscribe again after that, you start fresh. Connect your AWS accounts again, and expect backups taken before the disconnect to be gone.
Your Clumio organization is deactivated only when no active subscription remains on any marketplace.
AWS Marketplace Japan
Customers in Japan can start with the free trial on the standard AWS Marketplace listing, following the steps above, and choose any control plane when they register. For the regions each control plane covers, see Supported regions. To move to a paid subscription, they purchase Clumio through a private offer linked to their AWS account via a dedicated AWS Marketplace listing for Japan. Amazon Web Services Japan serves as the seller of record, enabling billing in Japanese yen and handling Japanese Consumption Tax.
Subscriptions on the Japan listing are arranged with Clumio rather than purchased self-service, so the in-app Buy with AWS option does not apply. To request a private offer for your AWS account, contact clumiojapan@commvault.com.
Customers can do the following:

Receive and accept a private offer for Clumio directly in the AWS Management Console.

Pay in Japanese yen through their existing AWS invoice.

Have Japanese Consumption Tax managed by Amazon Web Services Japan.

Manage their Clumio subscription alongside other AWS Marketplace purchases.
