Before you can use GxTail's capability of sending filtered log message data to email users, the email service has to be configured. Use the procedure described here.
Before You Begin
Launch GxTail. It is not necessary to have a log file open.
Procedure

Click View > Customize > Email.

Enter the values for the SMTP Server and Server Port that are available to your computer.

Enter the From Address that you want to appear as the sender of the email.

Enter one or more To Addresses to which a test email can be sent.

Click Send Email Test.

Click OK.
