Enter Mount Points (Fan-In)

Updated

For a Fan-In configuration, where Replication Sets from multiple source computers all use the same destination drive, mount points are configured on the destination, since a single snapshot of the entire drive will be created for the Recovery Point, rather than individual snapshots for each Replication Pair.

Drive

The drive from which a Recovery Point snapshot can be created for all Replication Sets that use it as a Fan-In destination.

Mount Point

To automatically mount the latest snapshot when it is created, click the Mount Point column next to a Drive, and do one of the following to specify the mount point:

  • specify a drive letter (for example, G:) to which the snapshot will be mounted.

    Note

Ensure that you specify an unused drive letter.

  • type a mount point name (for example, G:\mountpoint1) to which the snapshot will be mounted.
