Flash Recovery Area is a specific area in the disk storage that exclusively holds a copy of all backup-related components, such as image copies, redo logs, and control file autobackups. This facilitates faster restores of backup data and minimizes restores from tapes during restore operations.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <RAC Client> | <Instance>.

Right-click the <Subclient>, and then click Properties.

On the Content tab, select the Backup Recovery Area check box.

Click OK.
